Kopar AdministrationEmployment Coach Kopar Administration is looking for a dedicated person with excellent multi-tasking ability who will assist in helping unemployed people in Smithers and the Bulkley Valley with obtaining and maintaining sustainable employment. Kopar is looking for people who have: Good working knowledge of the Smithers labour market, community resources, government programs, job search techniques, career development and issues relating to unemployment Excellent documentation and report writing skills, as well as in interviews/assessments, professional resume writing, vocational counselling, and individualized goal-setting and planning Education and/or experience working with individuals with complex needs and a variety of cultural backgrounds, working with them in a culturally sensitive manner Knowledge of the theory of job development, where the counselor will assist the client from initial point of contact to employment and then to job maintenance A Post-secondary certificate, degree or diploma in a relevant field (e.g. career or employment development, vocational rehabilitation, social work, psychology, sociology, human services, counselling, education, or human resources management) preferred Successful applicants should have their own vehicle and a valid Class 5 License Knowledge of Provincial databases such as ICM is an asset.
