Environment &amp Permitting Specialist Seabridge Gold is seeking an experienced Environment and Permitting Specialist for our office located in Smithers, British Columbia. This person will be responsible for assisting our employees and contractors in advancing the KSM and Iskut Projects. Duties would include researching permit requirements, preparing permit applications and engaging with Indigenous communities, regulatory agencies, and the general public to successfully acquire permit applications. Limited field work will also occur. Additionally, this person will assist in the oversight of baseline environmental programs including water quality, hydrology, geochemistry, fisheries and wildlife among others, including managing environmental consultants work scopes, budgets and schedules. Candidates should have a minimum of 5-10 years work experience in environmental or permitting disciplines and a Bachelor or Master of Science degree. A willingness to research and learn a diverse field of scientific and traditional Indigenous knowledge is required. Good organizational, advanced computer (Microsoft office) skills, communication and organizational skills (inlcuding strong technical writing skills), along with a friendly and outgoing personality are necessities. Knowledge of Provincial and Federal permitting and environmental standards is required. Compensation will be negotiated depending on experience; benefits package included.
