DEPUTY FIRE CHIEF The Town of Smithers has an exciting opportunity for a Deputy Fire Chief to join the Smithers Fire Department. Reporting to the Fire Chief, the Deputy Fire Chief is responsible to assist in planning, budgeting and organizing of the Smithers Fire Department and, in the absence of the Fire Chief, takes full charge at all fires, fire practice training and any and all emergencies. This role requires an active and engaged leader who can demonstrate good judgment, maintain continual information flow, and be able to accept authority, responsibility and accountability as directed by the Fire Chief.
